The MLB regular season enters the final week with several playoff positions still to be determined. Tonight also features a great Thursday Night Football matchup as Week 4 kicks off in the NFL with the Miami Dolphins and Cincinnati Bengals. Here’s a look at some of the matchups on the schedule.
Rays Wrap Up Series Against Guardians
The Tampa Bay Rays and Cleveland Guardians play the rubber match of their three-game series tonight at Progressive Field. Tampa has yet to secure a playoff spot in the AL but has a half-game lead on the Seattle Mariners for the second Wild Card position. The Baltimore Orioles are also still in contention and trail the Rays by five games with seven remaining on the schedule.
Cleveland has already clinched the AL Central title and is playing some of their best baseball of the season. They have won eight of their last nine games and are 19-4 in the previous 23 games overall. The Guardians took last night’s contest after pinch-hitter Amed Rosario hit a bases-loaded single in the tenth inning to give them a 2-1 victory.

Marlins Begin Four-Game Series Against Brewers
The Miami Marlins and Milwaukee Brewers play the first of four games tonight at American Family Field. The Marlins have had a disappointing season where they will finish fourth in the NL East and are ten games ahead of the league-worst Washington Nationals. They trail the first-place New York Mets by 33.5 games in the standings.
The Brewers are still fighting for a Wild Card position in the NL and currently trail the Philadelphia Phillies by a half-game in the standings for the final playoff spot. However, they were able to make up a game on Philadelphia last night with their 5-1 victory over the division-leading St. Louis Cardinals.
The Phillies lost their fourth straight game. However, Milwaukee can move ahead of them with a win tonight and a little help from the Chicago Cubs, who can sweep Philadelphia with a win on Thursday.

Dolphins Put Perfect Record On The Line In Cincinnati
The Miami Dolphins travel to Paycor Stadium tonight as they face the reigning AFC Champion Cincinnati Bengals for Thursday Night Football. Miami is now 3-0 after their win over the Super Bowl-favorite Buffalo Bills at home on Sunday.
Another victory on the road against an AFC North opponent would undoubtedly silence all doubters and finally give the Dolphins the respect they deserve. Miami currently sits atop the AFC East, one game ahead of the Bills in the standings.

T&C APPLY | NJ, PA, IN, CO, NJ, MI, IA, LA, MS, OH ONLY Join NowCincinnati has been disappointing in defense of its conference championship after being upset in the first two games of 2022. However, they rebounded on Sunday to take a 20-12 victory over the New York Jets on the road, with QB Joe Burrow throwing for 275 yards in the win.
Unfortunately, they are still dealing with the same problems on the offensive line as last season and need to do a better job run-blocking and protecting their quarterback. Burrow has been sacked 15 times in just the first three games.
Miami wins to stay undefeated.
