The 2020 RBC Heritage was a fun event to watch, and I can’t lie, I am just glad golf is back! It was a memorable one for me at least, since I had some money on Webb Simpson winning it all at 30-1! Let’s see if we can keep the magic going this week. After two tournaments in the South, the PGA TOUR switches gears a bit and heads north to Cromwell, Conn., for the Travelers Championship, so today we’ll be having a look at our props betting.

When looking at this course, the TPC River Highlands is one of the shortest courses on the PGA TOUR, as it measures a little under 6,900 yards for a par 70.
The Travelers Championship features another elite field that includes 15 of the top-20 players in the world, including each of the top seven.

Bryson DeChambeau (+125) over Rory McIlroy Round 1
DeChambeau is a co-favorite to win this event and he’s absolutely rolling right now. The fact that I can get + money here on this Travelers Championship matchup has me excited.
He has posted solid opening-round numbers so far. In nine starts, he’s only failed to break par once and ranks second on the PGA TOUR in R1 scoring average.
McIlroy obviously is no slouch and there is a reason why he is actually favored in this bet. Rory ranks third in R1 scoring average and is just a megere .02 strokes per round behind Bryson.
But, Bryson has the better recent form and has done well at this course before, so I will ride DeChambeau and his newfound muscles to the bank.

If you’ve been reading my golf articles, you would know that I have been putting some money down on Ancer the last two weekends. And, he was right there come Sunday in both events, which, other than winning, is all you can ask for. In fact, those back-to-back performances have me sold that he is going to win one this year. But, to take a little bit of the risk out of play, I am going to put some money down on him to finish in the top 10 this weekend instead.
Last weekend, his ball striking performance was amazing, which included him hitting every green in regulation during the final round. And, when it comes to this course, last year, he was one of only six players to share the FRL with an opening 64.
He has the consistency and the course history, which has me liking this online bet at these odds.

This is a shorter course and I’m expecting some guys to absolutely have monster weekends. It is an insanely talented and loaded field, so look for a tight Sunday. At these odds, I can’t resist.

I always like to do one crazy bet a weekend, so here it is for the Travelers Championship. Hear me out on this one though. This is a guy that just shot a 66 in the first round last weekend, and on top of that, he has been just two off the lead after the first round in two consecutive starts. At these odds, you’d be crazy not to sprinkle a little bit on him coming out hot!
