With the 2019-20 PGA TOUR season set to resume on Thursday with the 2020 Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, it’s time to get some bets down! I will have another post with some of my favorite picks for the weekend, but let’s take a look at my three favorite Charles Schwab prop bets first.

First, the facts: since 2011, only four, yes four, golfers have gone under 265 strokes on this course. This is a 7,200-yard course with bentgrass greens, tree-lined fairways and more than 50 bunkers. And, let’s not forget the 247-yard Par 3.
My logic is simple, considering these guys have not “played” (real action) in some time, I am hoping for some rust from these players as this is a course that requires precision and not just big bombs off of the tee.
Jordan Spieth Top 10: +400
BetMGM has this bet that I am loving. You are getting a ton of prop bet value for an elite golfer in this spot for the Charles Schwab. Yes, Spieth has struggled due to an erratic Driver, where he ranks 181st in driving accuracy the past 82 rounds. But, Colonial measures at just 7,209 yards, so his short game will come into play. Spieth is an elite putter, as he has ranked second in strokes gained putting over the past year and a half. He also has four top 10s here in the last five years. How is that for consistency?

I hate laying this much chalk, but this was too good to pass up. Rose had a horrible start to the 2020 calendar year, so we are getting some value here. If there is one person this restart actually helps, it is Rose, as he just did not look comfortable yet with everything going on with his club switching. That is now past him and he’s had time to get back into the swing of things, pun intended.
Let’s not forget that he has done well at the Colonial, averaging 1.19 strokes gained and winning this event in 2018. He has the ball striking precision, as long as he can putt well, he will make the cut.
That’s it for our prop bets for the 2020 Charles Schwab at Colonial. As always, make sure you shop around to find the best value for your plays.
