The NBA has several games on the schedule for Tuesday night as the trade deadline approaches next week. Many teams will be looking to improve their rosters in the second half of the season. It’s time to buckle down to make a run at the playoffs.
Wizards Hope to End Losing Streak In Milwaukee
The Washington Wizards will go to Milwaukee to face the Bucks as both teams look to get back into the win column. The Wizards have lost five straight games and are now eight games behind Miami in the Southeast Division standings and have fallen to 23-26 on the season.
In their last matchup on Saturday, the Wizards witnessed Ja Morant post his sixth straight game with at least 30 points in their 115-95 loss to the Grizzlies. Unfortunately, they will again be without their leading scorer Bradley Beal for this contest, as he will miss the next two games with a sprained wrist.

They have now fallen below the Cavaliers into third place in the Central Division and trail the first-place Bulls by one-and-a-half games. The Bucks need to keep pace with a win tonight as they will head out west for a four-game swing, starting at Portland on Saturday night.
The Bucks take the game.
Heat Try To Hold Onto Southeast Lead
In the seconds of today’s NBA picks the Miami Heat will again be without several of their top players as they head to Toronto to face the Raptors. They have lost two in a row, with one of those losses coming at home against Toronto on Saturday, 124-120 in triple-overtime.
Jimmy Butler had a triple-double for the Heat, with 37 points, 14 rebounds, and ten assists in a losing effort. He missed last night’s game against the Celtics and his status for tonight’s game is unknown. Miami still leads the Southeast Division by four games over Charlotte but will have a difficult time holding onto first place without their star players.
Kyle Lowry is also listed as questionable for this game, and Markieff Morris and Omer Yurtseven have both been placed on health and safety protocols this week. In addition, Victor Oladipo isn’t expected to return until at least February 25 from a knee injury.

Miami is struggling a little, and could drop this game against the Raptors.
Nuggets Move Closer To Division Lead
The Denver Nuggets are one of the teams making a move in their division recently. They’ve taken advantage of Utah’s five-game losing streak to win five straight of their own and now trail the Jazz by only one game in the Northwest Division standings. The team has also won four straight on the road and will seek another against division rival Minnesota Timberwolves tonight.
The T’Wolves haven’t been playing consistently lately, going just 5-5 in their last ten games, but are still only 4.5 games out of first place in the division. Against the Jazz, Karl-Anthony Towns recorded his second career triple-double on Sunday with 31 points, 11 rebounds, and ten assists to help his team move closer to the top of the standings.
