The NBA restart has been a blast to watch and gamble on. Today we have 6 games & 12 teams in action, including some marquee matchups like Lakers vs. Rockets, so there will be plenty of betting options. After doing research, here are my two favorite NBA picks for today’s slate on August 6th:
NBA Picks & Parlays August 6th 2020
Dallas Mavericks vs. Los Angeles Clippers -4
This is a good matchup for the Clippers, as they have had the Mavericks’ number this season. LAC defeated Dallas 114-99 as 1.5 point road favorites on Nov. 26 and also again as 2.5 point road underdogs 110-107 on Jan. 21. They have the wings in Kawhi Leonard and Paul George to slow down Luka Doncic. On the flip side, Dallas does not have the wings to contain Leonard and George.
The Clippers are also coming off of a loss to the Suns, so they should be motivated in this spot. Dallas will also be without sharpshooter Seth Curry, which hurts them in this matchup, as there is no one to spread the floor against the Clippers.

Sacramento Kings vs. New Orleans Pelicans -4
This is a chalk play in some sense, as everyone will be on NOLA, but I like them in this spot. The Pelicans played well last game and Zion finally played a good amount of minutes.
This bet is more of a fade on the Kings, as they have the second-worst net rating of teams in the bubble. Their defense has been putrid, allowing opponents to shoot 46% from beyond the arc through three games. On top of that, they are sending their opponent to the line at the sixth-highest rate among bubble teams. This does not bode well for them against Zion and Co.
As long as Zion plays 25 minutes or more and the Pelicans can get over some of their shooting woes, this one should be a double-digit win for them when it is all said and done.
