Lakers, Wizards Continue To Struggle

Lakers, Wizards Continue To Struggle

Just six NBA games were enough to keep Tuesday night on fire. It is clear that, as the week goes on, more surprises can appear, and the action that the players give on the court increases more and more. Such is the case of the Phoenix Suns, who are on a streak they haven’t achieved since 2017.

Knicks Pull Out Some Wizardry

The New York Knicks had an amazing performance last night, and Julius Randle contributed in a big way to the victory, scoring 37 points. In this way, they managed to beat the Washington Wizards 131-113. His teammates were not left behind, as RJ Barrett and Alec Burks scored 20 and 21 points, respectively. With the great streak they have had lately, the Knicks have won more games this season than the last one.

On the other hand, this has not been the case for the Wizards, as they have lost for the ninth time in 11 games. They were led by Bradley Beal, who scored 22 points in this game. The Knicks return to face Washington tomorrow night.

It seems that the absence of their stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis is taking its toll on the LA Lakers. That being the case, the New Orleans Pelicans didn’t miss a moment to excel in the game, resulting in a 128-111 win over the Lakers on Tuesday night. Brandon Ingram was phenomenal and scored a season-high 36 points, while teammate Zion Williamson did what he does best and scored 27 points and nine rebounds.

The Lakers have not been able to recover, and this is the third straight game they have lost. This team has a chance to redeem itself and show why they are the defending champions tomorrow night when they face the Philadelphia 76ers, while the Pelicans host the Denver Nuggets on Friday night.

Suns Hotter Than Heat

It is clear that the Phoenix Suns are showing what they are made of and have not stopped shining for seven consecutive games. It’s been a while since the team has had a similar streak, but they seem to be doing it again. Devin Booker scored 23 points, while DeAndre Ayton went home with 17 points and 16 rebounds. In doing so, the Suns overheated the Miami Heat, taking a 110-100 win on Tuesday night.

Kendrick Nunn, Bam Adebayo, and Jimmy Butler scored 25, 15, and 14 points, respectively, but it wasn’t enough to tickle the unstoppable Phoenix. The Suns will now visit Orlando to face the Magic tonight, while the Heat stay home to host the Portland Trail Blazers tomorrow night.

It was another amazing night where Nikola Jokic managed to get another triple-double, adding 12 in total for the season. He posted 28 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists to lead the Denver Nuggets past the Magic 110-99 on Tuesday night. Orlando can’t seem to work its magic against the Nuggets, as they have now dropped nine in a row when facing them. Contributing to the win, Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. scored 21 and 18 points, respectively. Both teams will not rest as they are back in action tonight as the Nuggets face the Toronto Raptors, while the Magic host the Phoenix Suns.

76ers Overcome The Warriors

The Philadelphia 76ers’ win over the Golden State Warriors last night was in large part due to a spectacular performance by Tobias Harris. He finished with 25 points and 13 rebounds, helping his team to a 108-98 victory. However, Ben Simmons did not want to go unnoticed, having scored 22 points for the Sixers, who have now earned their second consecutive victory.

It is very likely that the absence of Stephen Curry also affected the Warriors; it is obvious that 3-pointers are always needed. The All-Star is expected to remain sidelined for at least one more week due to a bruised tailbone. The 76ers now visit the Lakers in an interesting matchup tomorrow night, while the Warriors fly to Sacramento to face the Kings on the same night.
