MLB has a full schedule of games on the slate for Tuesday. Here’s how some of the important matchups stack up in tonight’s action on the diamond:
Guardians Open Series against Twins
The Cleveland Guardians and Minnesota Twins will begin their second season series in a three-game set starting tonight at Target Field in Minneapolis. This time around, the Twins are the leaders of the AL Central and have a slim one-game lead over the Guardians, who have been making a move up the standings and are now challenging them for first place.
Cleveland has now won 15 of its last 19 games and their last six series, the most recent being against the Los Angeles Dodgers. They took two of three from the NL West leaders and are now 34-28 on the season. Minnesota is 38-30 and is 9-11 in their last 20 games as they begin a six-game homestand. They recently lost two of three to the Arizona Diamondbacks after winning two games against the Seattle Mariners on the road to take that series.
