They are third in the NL Central Division, 12.5 games behind the Milwaukee Brewers, and just a half-game ahead of the Chicago Cubs. AL East Division rivals the Tampa Bay Rays and Boston Red Sox play the final game of their three-game series, which is tied 1-1. They have won four of their last five games on the current road trip. Corey Kluber will try to improve on his 3-5 season record and 3.91 ERA for Tampa in tonight’s start on the mound.
The Red Sox are 13 games behind the Yankees in the division standings, with the Rays just two games behind them in fourth place. However, they are 4-5 since their recent seven-game win streak was snapped on June 27. Boston will send rookie Brayan Bello to the mound, where he will make his Major League debut tonight.
The Rays take another win in Boston to move closer to second place in the standings.
