Finally, in Week 11 of the NFL season, we are going to get what looks like some good football games for a change. No double-digit spreads, except for the Steelers game, where they are 10.5-point favorites. Big Ben Roethlisberger and the boys are undefeated so far this season and beating the Jaguars will bring them to 10 – 0 for the first time in Steelers franchise history. So, lots of luck this weekend, Jags.
With Brees Out, Who Starts For Saints?
This weekend, we are going to see some good close football games. Starting when the Atlanta Falcons, known as the ‘Dirty Birds’ down in New Orleans, who will try to defeat the Saints offense after Drew Brees was finally knocked out of the game last week with broken ribs and a collapsed lung. The Saints will be just 4.5-point favorites against the Falcons and the over and under is set at 50 points, which sounds very do-able.
But the task for Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan and the Falcons will not be an easy one against one of the best defensive lines in the league. One of the commentators on the Saints game last week said something like, “The Saints defensive line is difficult to read because they all look alike, same size, size build and all of them quick off the snap, disrupting opposing quarterbacks and keeping them off balance.”

Winston is the most improvisational quarterback in the NFL, but his 30 interceptions from last year might have caused coaches to take a step back now as games become more crucial. He’s also dealing with an unspecified, but not serious, injury, and the Saints might need him later on if Brees, who was placed on IR Friday, can’t come back. Coach Sean Payton still won’t officially name his starter, but Taysom Hill will reportedly start this Sunday, giving the Saints an opportunity to see if the big man is up for the challenge.
Jets To Continue Their Perfect Losing Record
The other big spread will be when the hapless, and winless, New York Jets visit the LA Chargers in their beautiful new facility, built on top of a legendary horse track, as 8.5-point dogs. But the 2-7 Chargers aren’t doing all that much better this year. So, this will be a contest where they are playing for nothing but pride and the fun of playing professional football.
The 6-3 Tennessee Titans, who have struggled lately after a good start, will head over to Camden Yards to take on the always dangerous 6-3 Baltimore Ravens as 6.5-point dogs, but this one could really go either way and it sounds like a good one not to bet on.
The revenge game on the week will take place in Las Vegas when the Raiders take on the Kansas City Chiefs as 7-point favorites. Even the odds makers are expecting Patrick Mahomes and company to come out ready to rock in what could be a blow out game for the Chiefs after losing to the Raiders earlier in the season.
Pay Attention To Green Bay And Indianapolis
In what could turn out to be the best game of Week 11, the 7-2 Green Bay Packers will travel down to Indianapolis to take on Phillip Rivers and the 6-3 Colts under a roof at Lucas Oil Stadium, which must be a welcome change for Aaron Rodgers and company as it is starting to get very, very cold at Lambeau Field.

However, it is difficult to wager against Rodgers, who is playing exceptional football this season and is surely in the MVP conversation. However, the Colts do have one of the best defensive secondaries in the league, so, you never know.
