After 141 days, the NBA is finally back! It seems like an eternity, so much so that the NBA itself has branded this as #WholeNewGame. Since basketball is back, so are our NBA picks and parlays, so buckle up as we kick things off for Opening Night! We get two marquee games today, which should be fun to watch and gamble on. While no one knows what to fully expect in these games due to the layoff and bubble, we still need to do the research for you so you can throw down some NBA wagers tonight. Let’s get to it…
NBA Picks Opening Night 2.0
Utah Jazz vs. New Orleans Pelicans over 227
From everything that I am reading, it looks like Zion Williamson should get the green light to play on NBA Opening Night, and if that is the case, I love this over pick. The Pelicans are a completely different team with him in the lineup, as we saw before the stoppage. NOLA played super fast with Zion in the lineup, so we should see more of that tonight.
These two combined for an average of 257.3 points in their regular-season meetings. Another plus, the losing team in the three regular-season meetings averaged over 120 points.

Los Angeles Clippers +5 vs. Los Angeles Lakers
I know the Clippers are missing Lou Williams, Patrick Beverly and Montrezl Harrel, but this is an overreaction. The public sees these three big names out so of course they are pounding the Lakers. The oddsmakers see that kinda of reaction have tried to balance the NBA betting books out by moving this line 5 whole points to make that happen. I usually like to fade the public on injury news type plays, so just another reason I like LAC tonight.
When it comes to the matchup itself, LAC is deep and still has PG and Kawhi Leonard to throw at LeBron James all night long. Their length should give the Lakers some problems and I love the addition of Joakim Noah for that same reason.
The Clippers are live dogs in this spot and this game should come down to the wire, so give me the points.
So, that’s it for our picks for NBA Opening Night, it’s great to be back!
