The 2020 Money in the Bank event will take place in Stamford, CT, this weekend, much like Wrestlemania was. I have some thoughts on betting this event and who wins each case, so keep reading for my picks and parlays.
Unlike previous Money in the Bank events, this year’s action will take place behind closed doors due to the COVID-19 outbreak. It does allow for more creativity, and the action will take place across the whole complex.
Matches will begin in the lobby with the goal of fighting your way past five other guys to get to the roof. There the ring, ladders, and briefcases can be found with a whole slew of surprises in between. For those who don’t follow WWE closely, those briefcases allow the winner to challenge the current champion anytime, anywhere, for one calendar year.

Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match Predictions
Despite the field not being filled out as of this writing, the winner will not be the TBD opponent.
There are only two viable names on that list, and those are King Corbin and Aleister Black.
Corbin actually won this match back in 2017 and has since referred to himself as King Corbin. He unsuccessfully challenged the then champion Jinder Mahal but has really grown to a main card guy since then. Sure, he has yet to get that final push to a title reign, but he has seen a lot of airtime lately and would be a great choice to capture this match. Maybe the WWE is ready to give him the push he deserves.
Aleister Black seems the more likely candidate to take home the briefcase this weekend. He is a fan favorite, former NXT champion, and a real in-ring mechanic. Like Corbin, Black has yet to see that real strong push from the main card to the main event.

Otis is a fun addition to the event, but not a viable pick to win. He’s more the comedy relief. Unless somebody like Edge or AJ Styles fills in that final spot, this is a two-horse race.
I think that Corbin’s character would make for a better case holder, but despite that, believe Black will get his push on Saturday night. And at 7/1 odds, it makes for a real value pick as a favorite.
Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match Prediction
The women’s match feels a bit more obvious with Shayna Baszler, a strong favorite. But is that just a trap the WWE is setting for fans?
Many have been clamoring for Baszler to be the Raw Women’s Champion after her work at Elimination Chamber and Wrestlemania. It seems the oddsmakers agree and have Baszler -150 to get to the top of the ladder first.

Dana Brooke is just not ready for this role, and Carmella hasn’t done much since she won this event back in 2017.
That just leaves Lacey Evans as the only viable choice besides Baszler to win this match. She really deserves a push after remaining in the title picture on both brands for quite some time now.
Despite the tempting odds on Jax and Evans, It just makes too much sense for Baszler to emerge from this victorious.
Drew McIntyre vs. Seth Rollins Predictions
Aside from the main even ladder matches, this will be the most anticipated bout of the night. Seth Rollins recently began a feud with the champion, which sees it’s first PPV fight go down.
While Rollins has enjoyed a bit push in 2020, it can’t hold a candle to McIntyre’s meteoric rise up the roster in recent months.
Since the Royal Rumble, The Chosen One has been on a tear. One which was capped off by a huge win at Wrestlemania over Brock Lesnar to earn the belt. This suggests the WWE wants to keep the strap on him for a while.
McIntryre’s odds are -500 at the moment, and it really makes sense. Rollins is a fine opponent for now, but this feud will likely just be a placeholder until creative can think of something better.
Don’t be tempted by his 7/1 odds, Rollins isn’t going to win this weekend.
Be aware that many, if not all, of these matches, has already been taped, which means it’s only a matter of time before odds are pulled. Info leaks quick these days, so if you want to get your Money down, I suggest sooner rather than later.
